Each year, to celebrate the beginning of summer, juried members of the NSDCC donate their work in support of our organization, 105 pieces of fine craft are collected for the event. One hundred tickets to the event will be sold at $60 per ticket. Throughout the evening of June 17th, 2011 numbers from 1 to 100 will be drawn, corresponding to the ticket numbers. When a ticket holder hears his or her number called, s/he has 20 seconds to select one object from all the craft displayed.
Obviously, if your number is called first, you have 105 objects from which to make your selection, if your number is called last, you make your selection from the 6 objects remaining on the table. A raffle is held to determine who takes home the Final Five items. Every ticket holder is guaranteed to go home with a great piece of craft tucked under his or her arm. And both ticket holders and their guests are eligible to purchase tickets on the Final Five Lottery. Enjoy door prize draws, raffles, entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar. In 2009 we added a bit of a twist to the evening, Ken Schwartz of Two Planks and a Passion fame joined us for a spectacular live auction of select items from our members and supporters.
