FROM THE OFFICE
This is a reminder that the NSDCC holds a “closed office day” on Wednesday each week in an attempt to manage workload in the office; this means that staff will not be answering the telephone on Wednesdays. We check messages throughout the day, so please leave a message on our voice mail and someone will return your call as soon as possible.

AWARD WINNERS
At the September 2008 meeting of the Nova Woodturners' Guild, three NSDCC members, John Macnab (www.johnmacnab.ca), Steven Kennard (www.stevenkennard.com) and Stephen Zwerling (zwerling.ns.ca) were presented with lifetime memberships and framed certificates in appreciation of their advancement and promotion of woodturning through the Nova Woodturners' Guild.
Congratulations to Donna Hiebert who has received the 2007 Progress Women of Excellence Award in the Arts and Culture category.
If you have received any awards, let us know! Send us a brief artist statement and high-resolution, digital photos so we can boast about your achievements. Your awards will be posted and, if you have a website, a link will be given to that site. Craftspersons from the Maritimes are among the most award-winning craftspeople on the continent, so it's time we started bragging about it!

places, including Amazon.com.
Del Zoppo would like members of the NSDCC to know that she has built a new studio at Point Michaud. She also has 2 self-catered rental rooms that are perfect for an 'inspirational' weekend or longer. Weavers and spinners will find Del's studio library enjoyable and there is room for you to bring your travel loom or spinning wheel.
